Comments on the course

This course is challenging but probably the most technical skill related course in sociology. It was mandatory for soc major and (hon.) specialization module but take advantages of it because this course also opens you somehow a door to the job market.

Course Content

I thought this was an intensive math course but the level is not as difficult as the real math course like calculus. It is really no that bad if you put efforts like doing the assigned homework each week and go through the contents. It is okay if you do not get all contents but make sure you go to your professor's office hour and ask her question.

Comments on the professor

The professor is a nice lady, she is passionated about the statistics and teaching. She is also very patient to help you out if you have questions about the contents. However, her exam questions will trick you a lot so be careful when you read the questions. Though she allowed us to have a cheat sheet on her final exam but unfortunately it was useless.
