I'd say this class is overall easy as every introduction class should be. The assignments were spread out evenly and we had weekly quizzes due Friday night at 11:59 pm along with the assignments.
The contents of this class are very useful because it enables us to think like engineers in order to solve the assignments. Definitely, the introduction to computer-aided design software will be a big help in the future, and the fact that the directions are clear along with the video walkthroughs provided by Professor Fadda and Rios in certain assignments were a big plus.
Both Professor Fadda and Rios are very knowledgeable people. They respond to emails and questions ranging from assignment and quiz questions to submission problems very quickly.
Definitely, understanding the concepts such as getting used to the computer software would help get the assignments done quicker and more efficiently. Since this was my first class at UTD, I was unaware of the usage of textbooks in many courses including ECS 1100. They tend to help a lot for any class, so using them as a reference on the assignments and studying the text will help for the exams and weekly quizzes.
