Prof: Richard Bowen / Spring 2021
Jun 8, 2022
As a current accounting student, this is a very important foundational class. It requires a good amount of attention and reading to understand these early concepts.
Course content includes learning basic accounting vocabulary, t charts, financial statements, specific accounting examples and scenarios that would occur in business, bonds, valuations, time value of money problems, etc.
The professor is overall good but does assign quite a lot of work. He goes over a lot of examples but may not always explain some things in the course.
I advise asking questions on topics you do not understand as this class builds off the concepts you learn very heavily. Take thorough notes in the readings before taking any quizzes or doing the homework.
