Prof: Kate Kithil / Fall 2025
Dec 17, 2025
The class is comprised of homework and then actual in-class assignments. These assignments are typically written work, but sometimes these assignments involved speaking with other students as well. All of the assignments are straight-forward and relatively easy. I enjoy the course overall.
This course mostly covered learning about sustainability and solidarity in Germany. I would say that the units were interesting and more inadvertently useful. Like the content surrounding solidarity wasn't super useful as like content itself, but you will learn certain vocabulary that is useful. Also, during the solidarity units, you learn about life after WWII, and I think that there is importance in knowing history just in general so that you can better understand other people, so useful in that regard ig.
Professor Kithil is an amazing professor and she is always looking out for her students. She is extremely personable, and she genuinely wants students to do well in her courses. I genuinely do not think that she has any cons as a professor.
Just show up to class and try to engage with the people around you. The class is, generally, relatively small, so if you can get comfortable with the other students around you, the class will be much more enjoyable.
