Prof: Ryan Curtis / Fall 2023

Not a lot of busy work and from my experience. This is such a useful class and so interesting as well. Just stay on top of the work, don't wait to the last minute to do anything, go and pay attention in lecture and you'll easily succeed.
He does a flipped lecture method meaning lectures are watched at home and are discussed with the class via worksheet during the designated time. This was the first time I had ever done that and he couldn't have presented it any better. He is funny but you can tell he knows his stuff. Truly one of the best professors I have had at CU.

Prof: Kelly Gildersleeve / Spring 2022

Kelly was a great instructor and she is super passionate about the subject which made her class engaging. This is a great elective because the workload is very light, and a lot of it is online. There were only about 5 actual exams you had to take over the course of the semester, including a midterm and final.
The content was actually super interesting and applicable to everyday life, as psychology is very relevant when dealing with people. There were lessons on mental conditions, drugs, and philosophy. There is a research requirement with the class but it was very easy to complete as a lot of the studies were available to participate online.
Attendance is usually only graded once a week through clicker polls, and you can usually find out which day it will be graded from the slides on canvas.

It is as intro as intro gets. This class is designed for 18 year olds of any background. Everything that is required to get an A is made very clear from the beginning. Assignments are not difficult.
What is psychology, ***, development, basic anatomy of the brain, education, drugs, how people feel and think
If he seems like he's repeating something a lot, it's because it's important and clearly a lot of people miss it.
It's possible to skip class and still get a good grade but I wouldn't count on it if you're new to college.
